What are Ennes Workshops?

The Ennes Workshops were created in 1991 through the Ennes Educational Foundation Trust in an effort to bring affordable education to members locally. The Ennes Educational Foundation Trust, through its Education Foundation Committee, offers periodic workshops and seminars around the United States. Programs are typically one day in length (app. 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.) and are very affordable. Presentations are non-commercial and focus on technology. In addition, part of the day is devoted to separate seminar tracks for radio and television topics.

Call for Papers

NOW ACCEPTING PAPERS FOR THE ENNES WORKSHOPS

SBE offers non-commercial, technical workshops throughout the year. Ennes Workshops are designed to attract broadcast engineers and engineering management from within several hundred miles to a one-day educational program. SBE is now scheduling dates for 2010.

Attendance ranges from 35-75. Workshops are being planned in several cities across the U.S. At times these are done in conjunction with a larger show event or state broadcaster’s association event. Attendees are often engineers and others who do not go to the NAB spring or fall conventions.

Typically, presentations are 45-75 minutes in length and there are separate radio and television program tracks for much of the day. We have great flexibility and encourage more tutorial-oriented programs of greater length, as well as topics of interest to both radio and television attendees. Presenters are selected based on providing a well balanced, informative and interesting program for those attending.

SBE realizes that presenting at the Ennes Workshops requires a commitment of time and expense and we appreciate your contribution. This is an unusual opportunity to reach a group of engineers on a personal basis in an educational setting.

To submit your topic, please send your idea in writing to:

Kimberly Kissel, SBE Education Director
kkissel@sbe.org
Fax: (317) 846-9120

Submissions should include:

  • Name of Presenter
  • Company
  • Topic
  • Description / Brief Abstract
  • Approximate length of presentation in minutes
  • Day-time telephone number and e-mail address of presenter                              top
