SBE "HF" HAMnet and Internet Repeater Linking Project, SBE's Chapter 73, "Chapter of the Air"
Hamnet, SBE’s “Chapter of the Air,” was developed more than 20 years ago for those HAM operator-members who are not in close
proximity to a local SBE chapter. It gives members a
monthly chance to get caught up on up-to-date SBE information and discuss technical broadcast topics.
The HF HAMnet "Chapter of the Air" takes place on the second Sunday of every month at 0000 GMT. Hal Hostetler, WA7BGX, serves as Net Control. The published frequency is 14.205 MHz. Occasionally, that frequency is busy and you may need to move up (no more than 10 kHz) to find the SBE meeting.
In addition to the HF "Chapter of the Air", the SBE UHF/VHF Hamnet is available Monday evenings at 9:00 p.m. ET, 6:00 p.m. PT. The SBE UHF/VHF Hamnet is based in Denver on the WØGV repeater, 448.975, pl 123.0, and soon back on the 449.625 WØKU repeater, as we are moving it to a new site soon and connecting it with Allstar.
If you have Allstar capabilities or an Allstar repeater near you, connect to node #46079 during net time. You can even use the AllStar phone portal to connect to us, utilizing your cell phone, or use the Echolink APP with the new connection number node 985839.
