Metadata 101: Now Playing and More

March 13, 2025

Originally streamed March 13, 2025

As content consumption through streaming apps becomes the norm and radios in vehicles become more advanced, listeners have come to expect features like title and artist info, as well as artwork in some cases. It’s important to provide the rich metadata experience that your listeners have come to expect, whether they listen via streaming, HD Radio, or analog FM. This session covers the basics of metadata: What it is, what do I do with it, and how to get it where it needs to go. It also touches on some more “creative” uses of metadata beyond simple title and artist information.
