Course Description

The SBE has presented the SBE Leadership Development Course since 1997. The NAB sponsored this course from 1965 to 1995. This intense course is designed specifically for broadcast engineers who have or aspire to have management responsibilities. The SBE offers the course in cooperation with instructor Dr. Francis O. Pianki, a professor of management who has served at Anderson University in Anderson, IN, since 1998.

When asked about taking the SBE Leadership Development Course, Robbie Winter, CTO, CBT, said ” I learned more about myself in three days than I have in the last 30 years!”

Designed to take technically adept people and instill in them sound leadership, supervisory and management skills, the SBE Leadership Development Course is equally beneficial for those who are already in management and for those without prior management or supervisory experience.

This highly interactive course will be challenging and rewarding, and includes training in the following areas:

  • Understanding the Dynamics of Leadership
