The FCC modified its rules governing digital FM transmissions, permitting for the first time the use of asymmetrical power levels in FM digital transmissions. This webinar discusses the new rules, the method for calculating the maximum digital power toward a first-adjacent channel neighbor and presents some hypothetical scenarios where asymmetric digital power levels could be used to good effect. Other elements covered include dealing with factors other than allocation considerations that may impact the decision to increase digital power with either symmetrical or asymmetrical digital carrier power levels.
