Overview

In the second session, Stephen Poole, the market chief engineer for Crawford Broadcasting continues by discussing “smart” filers in Wireshark.  The first time user will note that the screen almost instantly fills up with captured packets.  To sort through the jumble and confusion, Wireshark supports extensive filters that will limit the display to what you’re interested in.  It also understands most common protocols and can help you see the acutal data in a neat readable format.
