Course Description

Bob Tarsio, co-founder, president and CEO of Broadcast Devices presents this webinar that covers RF power measurements and factors that affect accuracy and multiplex over AES switching, distribution and careful cable management. 

In the first part, calibration issues and directional coupler characteristics needed for accurate power and VSWR measurements will be discussed.  The second part of the discussion will include issues arising out of the new standard include proper choice of cables and terminations when managing AES over multiplex in a transmitter facility.

About Your Instructor – Bob Tarsio

Bob Tarsio is the co-founder, president and CEO of Broadcast Devices, which was founded in 1985.  Tarsio spent time as a chief engineer at New York’s WLTW-FM, WAXQ-FM and WCBS-FM. He also spent time as a digital television and new technology specialist as director of engineering at Viacom, Inc. He holds a BS in physics and engineering from Pace University, Pleasantville, NY. He also holds a general class radio telephone license, an amateur advanced licensed and a private pilot license.
