Proof of Performance for the Broadcast Network

Originally streamed July 27, 2023

Cybersecurity remains a challenge and a priority for the broadcast engineer with IT responsibility. Protecting the broadcast infrastructure against cyber threats becomes more challenging each year for the broadcast IT engineer as threats are constantly evolving. The cybersecurity precautions implemented must evolve as well. Precautions thought to be in place should be verified and any missing protections implemented before an cyber exploit by the cybercriminal. Penetration testing provides the “proof-of-performance” for the broadcast IT infrastructure through proactive identification of cybersecurity holes and vulnerabilities. This webinar explores the concepts of penetration testing and demonstrate open-source tools available as a technique to validate the cybersecurity readiness of the broadcast IT infrastructure against cyberattacks.
